Why a blog?

I give up, easily.
Anything. Everything.
Because of a lack of confidence.

People won't like me, laugh at me, think I'm stupid.
That is why my entire life I hid away, in dark clothes.
Black, dark blue or grey.
Anything to make me invisible.

I never used make-up in high school because I didn't know how.
My hair was always the same because I had no idea what to do with it (ponytail, tightly pulled back, in case you're curious).

When I was 18 I got married and I wanted a change.
I wanted the real me to come out.
But I still had no clue how.

At 26 I started this blog.
So that I wouldn't give up, wouldn't forget where I was going.

This is my journey, feel free to walk it with me, every step of the way.
All my failures, all my mistakes.
But also my winnings, my happy moments and my bliss.
I'll be honored to have you with me.

When I got married our wedding gift, from my father in law, was a short honeymoon to York (England).
Me and my husband were thrilled.
We went there with a boat, in a very small cabin (we had a bunk bed!) and loved every minute of it.

When we arrived and went out to explore we got sucked in to a groccery shop, we love shopping in supermarkets abroad (yes, we're crazy) because they always have products that you never find in your own country.
One of those things were Innocent smoothies.

Instantly we fell in love with them, the cute face on the bottle just pulls you in and never lets you go again. Almost ten years further, the delicious smoothies are well known in our own country as well, but the story behind the drink isn't common knowledge.

Three students took a chance and bought 500 pounds worth of fruits and started mixing. If they were to continue with this, (wich included quitting their job!), totally depended on the public of a music festival.
Two garbage bins were to decide their future (should we make smoothies as a full-time job?), one marked "yes", the other marked "no".

With a full "yes" bin and an almost empty "no" bin they quitted their job, the next day(!) and got on with it.

Quite an inspiring story don't you think?

Now, why the *bliep* am I writing about this, right? Nothing to do with fashion, right? Wrong! And here's the proof:

Ow yes, you want one, be honest!
They are too cute, right?

If you haven't seen them or heard about them yet, they're a part of the big knit.
Actually, they are the big knit.
Every year people from around the world join in to make these little hats, for free.
Don't believe me?

These little hats help older people, who are facing the cold, alone, and are having a hard time to get trough it ok.

Wanna help?
In November the hats are coming to the stores in England, Belgium mostly later.

Buy a smoothie (with a hat) and Innocent drinks donates 25p to Age uk.
Wanna knit one yourself? You still can, just send it in before the end of Oktober.

Not handy with needles?
Create a digital hat and share it on Facebook or Twitter, every share is worth 10p!

Want to know more?
Visit the Innocent website.

They even have a bananaphone you can call when you're bored, or when you have any questions :)
