You know those days that you really look forward too?
It can be anything, from going bowling to going shopping or leaving for a holiday.
You're counting the days, you're feeling the excitement and everything leads up to that day.
I had one of those days, yesterday.
We went to Leuven and I had saved up 50 euros.
I was excited, for over a week I had been counting down.
Finally, a few hours to relax and enjoy a search for something special.
A sweater, some make-up or a piece of jewelry.
Something to define me, something to make me happy.
After eating a delicious sandwich (heaven!) I was officially ready to get started.
We had a doctor's appointment at 2 o'clock, so a time limit was set, but we had a good 2 hours to enjoy the city.
We started at a book shop (Fnac) but I was determined not to buy a book.
After about three minutes I found a book that I had to have (ofcourse) but it would cost me half my budget...
After looking it trough a few times (it was about make-up and personal care) I decided I could live without it.
I visited Zara, H&M and ICI paris XL and found... Absolutly nothing.
Everything was so dark and oversized.
I felt like I had seen it all before.
Even at ICI paris XL I couldn't find the feeling that I was looking for.
And the pieces of jewelry at the other stores all seemed so "normal" (I can't think of another word, sorry).
Well, 50 euros saved.
Still, I felt like I'd failed.
My perfect day, wich I had been looking forward to, turned out to be a big nothing (the doctor's appointment did go surprisingly well tough).
And then, there are other days, when you expect absolutly nothing and get everything you hoped and wished for.
It's all about balancing things, right?
